Position is for the Chinook Domestic and International Programs. Desired skills include experience & knowledge of: Boeing; Chinook customer(s); certification; and flight data recorder.

Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

 Electrical Gen & Distribution
Basic - General knowledge and ability to design, analyze and validate electrical power systems including generation, storage, distribution, load management, coversion, stability, current return networks, high-voltage corona effects, power filter and fault mitigation, etc.
Preferred - Complete knowledge and ability to design, analyze and validate electrical power systems including generation, storage, distribution, load management, coversion, stability, current return networks, high-voltage corona effects, power filter and fault mitigation, etc.

 Hardware/Software Development
Basic - General knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C#, Java, Java 2 Enterprise and Mobile Editions (J2EE, J2ME), C++, Visual Basic, C, Assembly, Ladder Logic, Numerical Control (NC) Programming, Matlab). Knowledge of computing equipment and its operating systems (e.g., Windows, Unix, Linux). General knowledge of software development and testing tools (e.g., editors, compilers, linkers, desktop simulations, configuration management tools, requirements management tools) capability and usage. General ability to apply knowledge of database engines to the design of databases and reporting structures. General ability to integrate hardware and software components into a functional system. Knowledge of software testing and usability theory. General knowledge of testing, usability practices. General ability to write and execute test scripts and perform usability analyses.

Typical Education/Experience

 

Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
