Engineering Career Foundation Program Participant 1

The Engineering Career Foundation Program is a fast-paced, two year rotation program that provides highly qualified, multi-skilled, potential leadership candidates a challenging introduction to engineering careers within The Boeing Company. This development program will provide the participants with opportunities to obtain extensive exposure and broad engineering experience across multiple Boeing Business Units (Integrated Defense Systems, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Engineering, Operations and Technology) and multiple engineering disciplines across the product lifecycle stages (Technology Development, Requirements Development, Design, Test, Product Support, Environment Health & Safety) through a series of (6) four month rotations over the course of the two year program. Leadership development opportunities will be a key component of the program in addition to rotation assignments.

The program start date will be July 2010. Candidates are required to be, at a minimum, in their senior year of college and graduating by June 2010 and able to demonstrate a minimum overall GPA of 3.25 (3.5 is preferred) at application and graduation. Demonstrated leadership potential and good communication skills are required. Previous Boeing Engineering internship experience is preferred. Clearly state your degree, cumulative GPA, leadership experience and month/year of expected graduation on your resume.

Successful candidates will be assigned in the Puget Sound, Washington area with potential opportunities to rotate to other Boeing sites for one of the 4-month rotation assignments.

Typical Education/Experience

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Other Job related information

Candidates must have demonstrated leadership potential and with a scheduled graduation date no later than June 2010. Overall GPA of 3.25 is required, 3.5 is preferred at the time of application and start date. Previous Boeing internship experience preferred.
