Position reports to the director of Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Environment, Health and Safety (EHS). Develops strategies and directs the integration of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and management systems to support multiple businesses, divisions, sites, business unit programs or the enterprise. Conducts and leads risk assessment of major business processes to reduce costs, potential violations, injuries and harm to the environment. Evaluates new technologies and processes to develop strategies and tactics for reducing workplace hazards and environmental impacts. Leads program reviews investigates incidents and provides corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of incidents.
Supports EHS early involvement activities to include rapid response team and program start-up assistance process activities. Will support new business processes (contract and proposal review, mergers and acquisitions). Experience with analysis of injury data/metrics and use of the Safety Recordkeeping System is preferred. Strong attention to detail is necessary.

Monitoring Methodology
Extensive and specialized knowledge of sampling and monitoring methods in the selection and use of sampling media, instrumentation, sample type and developing sampling methodologies.
Typical Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree and typically proven related work experience, a Master's degree and typically proven related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
