ACTIVITIES
Pre-dimensioning, check stress, and final justification of lightweight
structures (metallic and CFC) in
military and civil programs
Post processing of finite element models, determination and analysis of internal loads- and stress- spectra, >Results>Justification
Analysis of FE results or manual stress calculations acc. to special fatigue and damage tolerance justification methods and tools
Preparation of justification documents and reports for aircraft certification
Dimensioning and justification of system installations
Fatigue analysis of basic aircraft systems (fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, etc.)
Dimensioning and justification of repair concepts for SRM
Building of line support engineering (preparatory support)

TASKS
A) Basic knowledge:
Check and control of structural requirements acc. to component specification and JAR/FAR Rules
FE modeling techniques, post processing
Justification methods acc. to HSB, ESDU, Petersson, MMPDS, Rooke&Cartwright, etc.
Advanced knowledge of design principles of typical aeronautics structures under Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Aspects
Advanced knowledge of fatigue behavior and damage-tolerant philosophy
Basic knowledge of JAR/FAR rules

B) Specific knowledge (project related)
Specific knowledge in CFC structure analysis
Specific knowledge in aerospace materials application
Specific knowledge of aircraft certification procedures and requirements
5 - 10 years of experience in aircraft structural analysis
