This Field Service Representative will assist in the onsite efforts of the Bell-Boeing Team in the modification and upgrade of V-22 aircraft, providing engineering and logistics liaison to government management and artisans. Daily high level interface with company and customer program management.
Typical duties will include: Provide expert-level skills in maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of the V-22 Osprey Tiltrotor aircraft structural, composite and dynamic components and systems. Develop creative solutions to complex aircraft maintenance/operational problems using outside resources as required. Read and interpreting Bell and Boeing engineering drawings and other technical documents. Assist and advise others in resolving technical issues. Participate in technical reviews and applies technical expertise in the definition of new designs and procedures. Act as spokesperson representing the company on field service technical issues. Act as advisor to upper management and customers on sensitive or highly technical issues.
Provides field operation and/or support of delivered equipment. Coordinates the development of routine troubleshooting procedures to isolate equipment problems not detected by tactical diagnostics/documentation. Documents field site activities. Provides specialized on-the-job training to customers. Develops and provides solutions to a wide variety of technically complex problems. Performs business activities and maintains the administrative functions of a field office. Guides others. Works under general direction.

 Drawings/Data Sys and Models
Complete knowledge of and ability to use and interpret drawings, data systems and models associated with supported systems/platforms.

 Product Support Technical Data
Complete knowledge of product support technical data requirements and formats (e.g., review and interpret Engineering data/drawings, Maintenance Manuals, cataloging, Structural Repair Manuals, Time Compliance Technical Order [TCTO], manufacturing plans) to support product deliverables.

Typical Education/Experience

 

Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Job related information

 

The typical candidate will have: 5 years aircraft maintenance and modification experience. 3 years of V-22 maintenance or Field Service experience. Fluent with aircraft drawings and drawing management systems. Fluent with the customers maintenance program and manuals. Have or be able to obtain a SECRET level clearance and US Passport. Airframe and Powerplants license preferred . Fluent with MS Office products with knowledge of MS Project.
