Flight Safety Specialist

Duties:

• Assists the RSAF in planning, organizing and directing current and future flight safety programs designed to prevent and investigate aircraft accidents and incidents.
• Assists to RSAF in the establishment and evaluation of the flight safety program.
• Assists the RSAF in flight safety investigations and preparation of accident and incident reports.
• Assist the RSAF in the selection of training courses for and in training of Flight Safety Officers (FSOs).
• Assists the RSAF in the procurement of Flight Safety, Accident Preventation, and Accident investigation materials.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Science (preferably in an engineering field) or Bachelor of Arts degree with equivalent experience.
• Must have fifteen (15) years service in the grade of 0-4 or higher, and have been a pilot with at least five (5) years operational flight experience in the F-5, Tornado, or F-15.
• Must be graduate of a recognized Flight Safety and aircraft Accident Investigation course (e.g. University of Southern California).
• Must have experience as a Flight Safety Officer at tactical fighter squadron or wing level, hands-on experience in investigating aircraft accidents and incidents is desired.
• Experience with other front-line fighter or transport aircraft is desired.
• Fluency in spoken and written Arabic is mandatory.
