The Ground-based Midcourse Defense program is seeking an individual for our Huntsville, Alabama site to support management of critical/strategic supplier management activities that have a significant impact on the success of the GMD program. The selected candidate may support the Exo-atmospheric Kill Vehicle program as required. Proficiency in Common Networks Procurement and Electronic Procurement Information Center (EPIC) is a plus. The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving skills, possess organizational skills, be a self-starter, and willing to be co-located with the GMD Team in Huntsville. He/she must have proficient computer skills to include MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulations and public law. The selected candidate will have the ability to react to rapid changes in priorities and interface with a variety of internal organizations within the Integrated Product Team (IPT). The candidate must possess excellent team building, communication (both written and oral), and demonstrated leadership skills. The selected candidate must have a working knowledge of supplier management skills that include, among other skills, the formation, negotiation and administering various contract types including Fixed Price Incentive and Cost Reimbursable. Some travel will be required during the course of the program.

General knowledge of audit, fact-finding, and negotiation processes (e.g., self audit, internal audit, government audit, effective negotiation) and how they affect the proposal process.

Typical Education/Experience
