Flight and Control subsystem engineer to oversee the following activities: work with system engineering to develop and manage spacecraft requirements, architecture and design, unit and software requirements (including algorithms), detail design and analysis (control, dynamics, autonomy, support, sensors and actuators), support and review unit and software development, Flight subsystem integration and validation, system integration and test support, mission support and flight requirements verification. Develops cost and time effective, creative solutions, and disposition of issues to assure customer satisfaction. Mentors others. Works independently. Leads, organizes and resolves cross-divisional problems to provide technical assistance to internal/external customers. Performs a wide variety of complex trades studies to meet program requirements. Communicate plans and status to upper management and customer.

GNC Design and Integration
Basic - Advanced, expert knowledge of controls, navigation and guidance methods as applied to aircraft, weapons and space vehicle design. Includes advanced education and experience with applied classical and modern control theory, system trade studies, architecture and integration, electromechanical system and equipment design and specification including management of supplier developed hardware, software and prototyping, vehicle handling and performance and pilot interfaces.

GNC Requirements
Basic - Advanced, expert ability to create system level requirements for GNC systems and allocate those requirements down to the component level. Knowledge of military specifications, government regulations, customer needs, GNC system and component capabilities, and architectures.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 5 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's with experience, Master's with experience or PhD with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 6 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's proven experience, Master's with proven experience or PhD with proven experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
