1.Execute the strategy of leveraging global capability, personnel and markets for growth and productivity in support of Boeing IT
2.Support Boeing IT's Industrial Participation targets for India by helping place and execute IT work at the Centers of Excellence (COEs) throughout India
3.Monitor performance and project activities at the various Boeing COEs
4.Make sure COEs adhere to and execute to the agreed upon SOWs
5.Coordinate and plan outsourcing activities with US based sourcing focal
6.Ensure SLAs are achieved and client expectations are met (or exceeded)
7.Ensure that systems, processes and methodologies as specified in the SOW are followed
8.Drive improvement / optimization of processes in the COEs
9.Provide reports to an agreed upon schedule (or on request), including management and account performance reports
10.Lead activities to identify project risks and develop mitigation plans
11.Identify and mitigate logistical issues as they arise within the sourcing framework
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1.The placement of Centers of Excellence for Business Systems (and in the future Product Systems as well) provides a unique critical mass to the Boeing IT work being placed in India. It also provides an opportunity for Boeing and the partner to work closely on IT programs of a strategic nature. Most of these programs are multi-year in nature and hence provide good visibility for this role.
2.This role will be hired into IT International and will be supporting the IT outsourcing activities of Business Systems / HR Systems team. In the future depending on performance, the responsibility could be increased to cover other Boeing IT organizations as well.
3.The successful candidate will oversee large scale system development, integration and support programs comprised of multiple projects / work streams within the various centers of excellences (COE) across India. She/he will ensure overall program and project objectives are met in the planned timeframe and budget.
4.The candidate will work closely with the India based delivery manager from the vendor side. Will act independently and be the primary contact to resolve any issues that arise within the COE framework. She/he will provide timely status and appropriate resolution on identified risks/issues and will also provide insight into logistical challenges incurred at the various COEs within the Boeing sourcing parameters with appropriate mitigation.
5.The candidate will focus on improving project management processes and business systems that support program stakeholders and decision makers, identifying opportunities for improvement and making constructive suggestions for change. She/he will motivate teams to work in the most efficient manner and comply with and enforce standard policies and procedures.
Other duties and responsibilities are assigned by management.

Typical Education/Experience

 

Bachelors Degree in related field. 10 Years total IT experience. 3-5 years project management and delivery experience in a global sourcing environment. Project management expertise using classic and agile methodologies. Should have delivery sofware projects to US based corporations. Experience with Vendor management ( SOW creation, change request management, issue resolution. Very strong written and oral communication skills. Very familiar with MS office suite of applications including MS project. Self starter and performs work with minimal direction.
