Support the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Plug and Fight Team. Leads in the design, development, buildup, test, integration and support of computing tools, software, systems and networks for design, simulations, test systems and environments, test computing elements and laboratory/test networks. Leads and directs the development and presentation of plans for test computing environments. Leads and directs the development, design and execution of Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP). Performs system analysis of specialized and highly complex test computing systems, networks and software and provides recommendations and consultation to customers and stakeholders. Works under minimal direction.

Engineering Tests Techniques
Advanced ability to perform engineering tests techniques, including handling qualities, performance, systems testing, structural loads, weapons separation, propulsion, etc.

Test Configuration Control
Extensive and specialized knowledge of test article/vehicle configuration control procedure required to prepare for a given test. This requires the use of configuration control management process to track and maintain article/vehicle configuration. Extensive and specialized ability to configure the test article using test requirements gathered from test plans, government regulations, and safety rules.

Top-Level (TPD)
Extensive and specialized knowledge of test program design (TPD) of Systems (aircraft, satellite, etc.), System of Systems, and product (e.g. key tenants of a test program during the program life cycle) and the process of establishing and integrating the TPD within the program master phasing plan via various program and test program review. Generic understanding of various test categories (Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Aerodynamics, Electrical, software, etc.). This Extensive and specialized knowledge includes high-level test SOW (test plans), resources (people, skills, facilities, equipment), sequencing and estimating. Extensive and specialized ability to identify the (existing or missing) test processes required to effect a test program based on the unique contracting and teaming relationships that exist on a program.

Typical Education/Experience



Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and experience, Master's with experience or PhD with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position is contingent upon The Boeing Company receiving program award for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS), with award expected in December 2009. Candidate must be intimately familiar with Government Test Techniques and Procedures. Minimum supervision.
