===LOCATION and WORK CONTENT INFO=== Internships are located within Philadelphia, St. Louis, Southern California and Washington State at major facilities. Interviews will be conducted from September to November. Candidates receiving offers will be invited to a placement event in the early spring to match their skill sets and desires with an IT organization. Selected interns can choose from one of the skill sets listed below for their summer internship.

CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: work in this area is primarily focused on governing the development, release, and sustainment of processes, software, and documentation.

FUNCTIONAL ANALYST: are responsible for understanding requirements from our many internal customers and playing a liaison role. This role allows more people interaction, yet still requires an understanding of programming and requirement documentation. Functional Analysts will work with their customers to obtain clear and precise requirements that will be used to implement business solutions.

PROGRAMMER ANALYST: are responsible for interpreting requirements and implementing them into the system(s). Tasks will include, but are not limited to providing assistance to design, program and execute simple test plans. They will write and compile basic code. A fundamental understating of C/C++/C# or Java is a key requirement.

PROJECT MANAGERS: will perform various tasks to ensure their projects remain on schedule, on budget, and have high quality deliverables.

SPECIALTY ROLES: variety of positions in Information Security (establishes procedures to use, protect and share information), Usability Services (involves researching user requirements, developing user interaction designs and prototypes, and/or engaging with users to evaluate prototypes or existing systems) and data storage (involves developing and enhancing existing databases). Work in these roles will require more targeted experience to the specific position and will be determined at the time of the interview.

SYSEMTS INTEGRATION: similar to systems architecture, the main difference is this will focus mostly on designing the interrelationships between systems and assist in resolving conflicts.

SYSTEMS ARCHITECTURE: will be responsible for creating and reviewing implementation documentation for system development. They are also involved in creating a future roadmap for where the organization will be headed in the future.

***Candidates must be well rounded with good technical skills and strong initiative. Candidates should demonstrate the following competencies on their resume and during interviews: Technical skills, communication skills, leadership experience, ability to work well with others, problem solving abilities, and analytical skills. The technical skills required are wide-ranging, therefore computer & information sciences, and engineering students will be considered. Candidates should include a section on their resume to highlight their technical skills (e.g. computer skills, programming languages, and other specialty skills).

Start date options for 2010 are May 28 and June 18. Additional accommodations may be considered depending on the students' situations. The summer program typically spans 12 weeks.
