Job Description
Engineering positions, including leading engineering roles, are available within Airbus’ Stress Engineering function. These roles will have responsibility, both directly and as part of a team, for ensuring the structural integrity of the sub assembly of an aircraft product. This includes carrying out static stress calculations to assess design solutions for a range of tasks, from concept design to manufacturing concessions against the Aircraft Design requirements and ensuring fatigue, as it is essential that damage tolerance requirements are met.
Successful applicants will have a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and substantial experience working as an aircraft stress engineer. You will also be involved in the analysis of metallic structures, using a broad range of standard hand and computer methods, with a good understanding of aircraft production methods. An understanding of composites and lean principles would be an advantage, in order to support continuous improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency.
