Our customer is a developing maintenance facility based in Switzerland. An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the team and expand the capacity and processes within the paint shop.
Description/Tasks
• Responsible for management and guidance of the supervisors, leaders and paint shop team
• Responsible to perform resource planning, budget & invest. planning, quality, health & safety and tooling
• Secure process related performance targets to achieve on time and on cost/budget per project
• Establish a proactive working and management behaviour
• Perform the overall shop meetings to secure the exchange between all projects and departments
• Safely supervise aircraft preparation, painting, and detailing to ensure high quality production and conformity with aircraft manufacturer.
• Coordinate to ensure compliance with internal and Aviation Authority paperwork, sign-offs and quality inspection.
• Ensure all work performed complies with Company, Customer and legal requirements.
• Promote high standards of quality through instruction and by setting a good example for others to follow
• Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment
• Follow standard operating procedures when using chemicals and enforce use protective equipment as required.
• Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools
• Comply with safety rules and procedures and be alert for unsafe conditions.
• Sustain the material tracking system to create and track part demands
• Responsible for the personnel development of the team
Qualification/Experience
• Minimum 3 years leadership experience in similar position
• Technical know how of paint shop processes, standard procedures, methods and practices (opt.)
• Proven, work related paint shop knowledge in accordance with current procedures, process specifications, technical and manufacturer's instructions, aviation regulations and any applicable data approved or accepted by the competent authority
• Experience in VIP completion business
• Wide know how of process management
• Know how of aircraft and certification and ability to train and supervise others in this manner.
• Good communication skills in English. German and/or French would be an advantage
• Capable of leading, taking decisions, highly flexible, team worker
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
