Perform support analysis tasks associated with the development and fielding of an IT based Network System for the U.S. Navy. Responsible for performing integrated logistics support activities required for life-cycle support and sustainment. Candidate will identify and document Network supportability and maintainability requirements and collaborate with the design process to achieve a balance between system design and support. Tasks will center on a commercial off-the-shelf based equipment design that will be integrated into a Ship Board networking system. Selected candidate shall provide supportability influence on product designs and solutions; develop and maintain a logistics support analysis record database; evaluate, identify, and document required operations and maintenance procedures; develop and publish technical manuals; perform supportability related trade studies; analyze level of repair requirements; document provisioning data and model for recommended spares; and develop training media.

Maint Task Analysis Process
Complete knowledge of maintenance task analysis process methodology; repair level analysis process methodology; cataloging process methodology; support equipment requirements documentation (e.g., Support Equipment Requirements Document [SERD], Support Equipment Identification Requirements [SEIR]). Complete knowledge of provisioning process methodology (e.g., change authority, engineering configuration effectivities, top-down breakdown analysis, Quantities Per Assembly [QPA], parts breakdown); facilities requirements analysis, facilities planning, facilities design standards and specifications, building codes, and facilities evaluation techniques and methodologies; and, Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T). Typical Education/Experience
Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
Other Job related information
Ability to Obtain Interim and/or Final Clearances (Post Start) - Eligibility to live and work in US required. Successful candidate shall have domain knowledge related to U.S. Navy shipboard system support, Naval supply chain, and Naval operations and maintenance processes for equipment support. In addition, candidate must have a broad understanding of Integrated Logistics Support. Knowledge and skills requirements include Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) data development and use; task analysis for operations and maintenance; and familiarity with authoring and publishing systems. Also prefer instructional systems design experience along with a technical understanding of IT based networks and associated support and maintenance activities. Knowledge of ILS product development standards such as S1000D, MIL-HDBK-470, MIL-HDBK-502, MIL-PRF-49506, and related handbooks and standards is expected. Contingent on program award.This position is contingent on the award of a competitive contract expected between November 2009 and January 2010. The prime work location will be at the Boeing Offices in San Diego, CA with periodic travel to the Boeing offices in Huntington Beach, CA.
