Implements the design and structure of a Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) database. Establishes LSAR type database structures, defines data element requirements, administers data within the database, develops ad-hoc reports and generates standardized reports. Reviews, assesses, and documents supportability impacts associated with complex product design changes. Resolves issues related to publishing manuals. Develops solutions to complex problems regarding developing and publishing technical manuals at the site level. Evaluates and identifies product/part breakdown structures and identifies the hierarchy of parts and subassemblies needed for supportability. Reviews, establishes, documents and maintains the data elements applicable to provisioning. Performs analysis on complex systems and products to identify and recommend initial spares requirements. Reviews the analytical results of others to determine adequacy and accuracy. Performs complex trade studies and analysis. Works under minimal direction.

 Maint Task Analysis Process
Extensive knowledge of maintenance task analysis process methodology; repair level analysis process methodology; cataloging process methodology; support equipment requirements documentation (e.g., Support Equipment Requirements Document [SERD], Support Equipment Identification Requirements [SEIR]). Typical Education/Experience

 

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

This position is contingent upon The Boeing Company receiving program award for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS), with award expected in December 2009. The position is part of the Integrated Battle Command System in support of the Army's overall Integrated Air and Missile Defense Program. A broad understanding of the Army's C2 systems, Logistics Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS), and maintenance structures is required. A working knowledge and experience in; maintenance task analysis, fault tree analysis, level of repair analysis, supportability analysis tools, business case analysis, training development, training device development and Interactive Electronic Technical Manual development is required. Primary duties involve the planning, development, verification, and validation of logistics products, coordination with engineering and test functions in support of IBCS major end item development. Provides engineering support during engineering review boards, risk meeting, material review boards, and ancillary working group meetings. Ensures application of best practices and identifies need for enhanced practices. Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering electrical and mechanical drawings is required. Ability to analyze drawings, test data, specifications and provide written solutions as well as develop troubleshooting, operation and maintenance procedures for technical manual work packages is required. Experience in developing training materiel and performing field and classroom instruction is highly desired. Knowledge of Army preventive and corrective maintenance practices is desired. Ability to lead and participate in cross functioning IPT environment to accomplish stated objectives. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Project) products. Experience with Boeing processes and procedures, SQL databases, PowerLogJ, and COMPASS is desired.
