Position reports to the EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Compliance and Services, Functional Support Leader and provides health and safety program direction and guidance to business unit leadership and the Enterprise to help achieve health and safety objectives. Position requires strong safety acumen in the various program disciplines, including electrical safety, safety management and culture as well as ergonomic experience. Position requires good understanding and practice of program management principles and program expertise in areas including fall protection, electrical safety, service providers and crane operation safety. Leads, plans, implements and assesses occupational health and safety programs and processes. Develops and resolves issues involved in unique investigations using leading-edge technical considerations and scientific concepts to provide leadership and clear direction on risk mitigation strategies. Develops, reviews and recommends overall corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections. Prepares position papers utilizing technical knowledge and works with management and presents to senior management to facilitate risk management decisions. Represents the company with government agencies and customers to influence regulatory compliance strategy.
