Apply broad knowledge of Boeing design and/or engineering principles. Assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle. Lead research of technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer, and design interim and final engineering solutions. Lead others to analyze, conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for design non-conformances. Develop and implement product/process improvements. Use innovative approaches and unique applications to address complex nonconforming conditions and to detect deviations. Analyze reported problems for potential safety issues; and recommend and manage complex resolution. Lead development of interim and final solutions. Provide design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews. Represent the engineering community in the build through post production environment. Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards. Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment. Lead activities for onsite disabled product repair teams and accident investigation or support teams. Design appropriate jacking and shoring schemes. Lead the design of interim structural repairs and conduct static strength analysis. Develop and lead non-destructive test procedures, tools and standards. Develop and implement technical training curriculum for internal or external customers.

Liaison Repair Methodology
Extensive and specialized knowledge of liaison repair methodology including: repair processes, component repair concepts (e.g. structural, electrical/avionics, systems, weapons), procedures (e.g., inspection, disassembly, re-assembly, testing, manufacturing), warranty processes, contractual agreements. Identifies areas requiring additional engineering disposition.
Product Review Process
Extensive and specialized knowledge of Universal Product Review (UPR) including Material Review Authorization (MRA), Materials Review Board (MRB) processes, supplier delegated MRB processes (e.g., authorization, qualification, maintenance, disclosure), and post-production review.
Typical Education/Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and related experience, Master's with related experience or PhD with related experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Job related information
Requires helicopter engineering experience. Prefer Material Review Board (MRB) engineering experience.
