This position is for a Program Export/Import Focal supporting the 737 Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) Australian Wedgetail Program In-Service Support (ISS) Contract. This position will be at the Royal Australian Air Force Base in Williamtown, Australia. The individual will be embedded with and report to Wedgetail ISS Business Manager.
The Wedgetail ISS Program Export/Import Focal is responsible for implementing export and import compliance processes, and to identify and address export and import compliance requirements on the program. Will develop and maintain a strategic license plan that enables the program to obtain export authorizations that support its business opportunities and goals. Will interface with multiple functions to ensure export authorization request packages are complete, accurate and timely. Monitors day-to-day program activities to insure that program exports and imports are compliant with US and Australian export authorizations and company processes and procedures. Serves as a liaison between the program and the Boeing Global Trade Controls organization in Seattle and Washington DC. Trains program and functional personnel in the procedures and processes required to comply with applicable regulations and laws. Utilize management forums to communicate status information on commitments, compliance to plan, and process health measures. Will also represent IDS for enterprise activities as needed and must be willing to assume stretch tasks at the periphery of the job description, if required.
Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI/PMI 99-001-2004). Identifies key stakeholder project objectives and requirements. Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan. Negotiates regulatory parameters in support of domestic and international projects with local, state, federal and international governmental agencies. Authorizes baseline plans and revisions. Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans. Provides assessment of team performance to appropriate management. Consults with executive leadership and integrates organizational strategy and company initiatives to develop project deliverables.
Candidate must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and a strong understanding of Boeing's Export and Import Management policies and procedures. Experience with a large international military program is required. Experience with program management and the AEW&C system and business structure is desirable.
The position requires the ability to synthesize inputs from a variety of sources and build consensus, to understand and communicate requirements and to develop plans and lead projects based on those plans.

Position requires a current Secret Clearance - Eligibility to live and work in US Required or equivalent (Refer to Security Clearance Definitions link above).
