Develops project plans and deliverables, directs all project phases, and acts as a primary customer contact. Directs, coordinates, and monitors all elements of the Energy Technology Engineering Center (ETEC) Site Closure Project. Acts as liaison between project team and finance and scheduling personnel. Interacts and negotiates on work plans and reports with Federal agencies (such as the Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency) and State regulatory agencies (such as the California Department of Toxic Substances Control) and other stakeholders. Identifies key stakeholder project objectives and requirements. Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plans. Analyzes environmental data for accuracy and completeness. Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans. Provides assessment of team performance to appropriate management. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Project. A working knowledge of other project management tools such as Primavera is desirable. Recent project management experience in the decontamination and decommissioning of radiological and liquid metal test facilities and remediation of soil and groundwater investigations is required.
