QA Assistant Manager (Logistics)

<p>Responsibility for Staff:</p> <p>Responsible to: Group Technical Manager/ QA Manager SPV & Depot General Manager</p> <p>Directly:</p> <ul> <li>QA Supervisors </li></ul> <p>
Indirectly:</p> <ul> <li>QA personnel </li></ul> <p>Main Liaison:</p> <p>Internal:</p> <ul> <li>Food Safety Manager, Group Technical Manager, Catering Managers, General Managers, Warehouse Managers </li></ul> <p>External:</p> <ul> <li>Suppliers, DoD/ US Veterinarian / Medical Personnel, External Training Companies </li></ul> <p>Prime Objective:</p> <ul> <li>To manage and promote continuous improvement of the Food Safety program throughout all of the catering and retail operations; <li>Monitor compliance of the Food Safety program through internal auditing; <li>Oversee management of corrective action program through direct contact with catering managers to ensure actions are implemented in a timely manner with an effective outcome. </li></ul> <p>Key Tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Undertake internal audits as per the agreed schedule set by the Group Technical Manager; <li>Design, implement & maintain the QA program predominantly for GFM but alos SPV products - as required. <li>Monitor and ensure compliance with site's Food Safety program through internal auditing and reporting deficiencies to FSM, GM's and BUD's; <li>Oversee the implementation of suggestions and preventative actions raised from the audits; <li>Report audit score and findings to SPV QA Manager after each audit conducted; <li>Ensure the development of the quality culture on site to increase employee awareness to factors that may compromise food safety through guidance and training; <li>With guidance from the Group Technical Manager & QA Manager SPV; maintain, control and conduct maintenance of the Food Safety program as required; <li>Provide technical guidance and support to Catering and Managers. <li>Cover for QA Managers when required </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills and Qualifications:</p> Essential: <ul> <li>A minimum of 5 years experience within a FMCG operation with a strong understanding of Food Safety programs, HACCP principles, inspection and audit programs; <li>Formal HACCP/Food Safety qualification; <li>Formal auditor qualification in HACCP/Food Safety Systems </li></ul> <p>
