Role – Risk Manager

Risk management is ultimately the responsibility of the Head of Programmes, with a large input from the technical leadership, the project manager, supply chain manager and commercial primes working as an integrated team. The Risk Manager works as part of this management team to provide a strong focus and be the ultimate source of information for all activities affecting project risk.

The Risk Manager works with the project/programme manager, technical manager, system design authority and sub-contractors on a day-to-day basis to establish a complete and accurate position on risks and to facilitate the mitigation and fall-back actions - in accordance with the company’s defined risk management process.

In addition, the Risk Manager will work with the engineering, commercial, financial and supply chain functions and specialists, as necessary, to provide the complete business view. They will also present the risk status to the customer at key reviews and negotiate ownership and commercial/technical impacts across the contractual boundary.
