Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Electronics) - Buckinghamshire UK
Our client is a specialist Group that designs, manufactures and supports electronic and electromechanical systems, subsystems and products for defence, security and aerospace applications across the world, focusing on high integrity sensing, control, communication and display systems with an emphasis on integrated IT solutions. The Group employs over 3,000 people in the UK and North America.
They are now seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to work in their High Wycombe location. The successful candidate will be a Quality Engineer with electronics experience, gained in the nuclear, defence or automotive sectors.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this is a varied role that will include responsibilities in the following areas;
Systems Assurance
Customer Assurance
Product/Project Assurance
Supplier Assurance
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be required to promote value added quality principles and facilitate improvement throughout the business process, communicating with internal / external customer requirements, ensure compliance at all times. The role will also involve analysing and reporting on Failure Data and assessing the latest Quality Standards, advising management of the best methods of implementation within the company.
The successful candidate will have a familiarity with ISO and Quality Management Standards, have knowledge of QA Principles and Techniques and be a Qualified auditor able to carry out Supplier, Internal and External Quality Audits.
The successful candidate will have a HND or equivalent in Electronics, Mechnical Engineering or Software.
Essential skills and abilities include;
The ability to work under your own initiative and communicate at all levels
The ability to review, understand and comment upon Design Specifications and Acceptance Documentation
A working knowledge of problem solving techniques, to enable and manage efficient root causal investigation
The ability to write Quality plans, Process models/ workflows instructions and procedures.
The successful candidate will also be a team player, willing to travel in the UK and abroad.
