Senior Reliability Engineer - Permanent

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Reliability Engineer to work within a specialist Aerospace organisation.

Job Specification:

Support ILS Manager and Principal Reliability Engineer to develop best in class Reliability processes and Reliability capability.

- Deliver guidance to Design Team on efficient route to certification based on interpretation of requirements and proposed level of compliance.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of performance demonstrations and trials.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supporting the ILS Manager and Principal Reliability Engineer in implementation of reliability programmes; prediction and modelling of reliability aspects of complex mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.
- Delivery of specialist advice to achieve required Reliability performance.
- Supporting optimisation of reliability processes and practices.
- Generation of technical reports and design review presentations.
- Liaison with design teams and customer representatives.
- Liaison with contracting agencies for deliverable documentation in respect of outplacement tasks.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Evidence of performance in the practical application Reliability and Availability analyses (Predictions, FMECA, Fault Tree modelling).
- An understanding of Logistic Support Analysis, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, Contractor Logistic Support, Safety Case, HAZOP and HAZAN.
- Domain knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance, particularly airframe, fuel (engines).
- Applicants must be qualified to HNC, BTEC or equivalent level in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Ability with Access and ILS related software (Reliability Workbench).
- Good verbal and written communications is essential, as is the ability to liaise effectively with other groups within the company and externally.
