Support software development team with research, design, development, integration, modification & documentation of enterprise-wide systems & applications software, while observing all software compliance standards. Assist with overall system evaluation, to include analysis & development of hardware/software interfaces. Help identify, develop & implement solutions for software-related technical issues that could possibly impact costs, schedule or performance. Work as an integral part of software development team, while adhering to established guidelines and following technical.

Preferred - Extensive and specialized knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics). Typical Education/Experience



Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 4 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.


Other Job related information



Requires eligibility to live and work in US for security clearance; thorough knowledge of C, C++; experience with Fortran, Jovial, Assembly and one or more of the following operating systems - Unix, Linux, VxWorks, Microsoft Windows 2K and/or XP. Must have knowledge of network communications and application programming; experience with aircraft, simulation & ground systems simulation; experience in area of software research, development, implementation and testing; and knowledge of Distributive Interactive Simulation and/or High Level Architecture protocols. Facility is on the Government Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) list, and by mid-2011 will be closed and moved to Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.
