Experienced software developer to support program management of the Warfighter Machine Interface (WMI) for the Army Brigade Combat Team Modernization. Apply software domain and programming experience to help plan schedules, budgets and staffing. Utilize weekly Earned Value Management to track progress, evaluate status, and identify issues. Properly interpret software metrics to understand program condition and identify potential concerns. Develop, review and validate software estimates. Use risk, issues, and opportunity process to help ensure program success. Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards. Maintain and track action items and follow up with assignees to obtain closure. Prepare and present project status and issues at internal and customer reviews. Write and update software supplier statements of work. Prepare team for and participate in internal and external audits. Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. Assist WMI program manager in effectively executing the program. Work under minimal/consultative direction.

Directs and manages very complex project schedules requiring interfacing with multi regional or international activities. Independently identifies project resource requirements, integrate and direct multi project elements into a single collective overall project plan. Collaborates with others on the most complex projects assigned. Ability to direct, delegate and ensure performance of assigned responsibilities and tasks as a project team leader in support of the overall large scale and complex projects. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 5 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's with proven experience, Master's with proven experience or PhD with proven experience.
