An exciting opportunity exists for an individual to work within the Supply Chain Planning and Integration team in the role of Strategic Forecasting and Inventory Modelling Technical Specialist to help achieve the requirements of the overall UK Chinook Through Life Support Contract (TLCS) PBL programme . This position represents an exceptional opportunity to join a highly motivated and dynamic team that will enable Boeing to provide an important and highly visible element of the In-service support infrastructure needed by the MoD and RAF to operate the Chinook Weapon System in-service. It involves the use and administration of the Service Planning and Optimization (SPO) modelling tool in support of establishing Target Stock Levels for consumable and repairable items, asset manager tactical decision making, proposal pricing inputs, and Estimate at Completion development. The successful candidate will support the Modelling Team lead in the execution of all spares forecasting and modelling, Additional responsibilities include conduct of programme-specific modelling and system processing enhancements, data integrity and continuous refinement, and identification of cost reduction initiatives as they relate to modelling. Provides tactical level guidance to assets managers.

Typical Education/Experience
Qualified to degree level or equivalent. Knowledge and use of a spares modelling tool such as OPUS, VMetric, Xelus, SPO, or similar software package is required. Familiarity with statistical forecasting techniques, simulation theory, reliability prediction methodology, and inventory management activities is preferred.
