Our client in Northern Ireland urgently requires an enthusiastic Composite Structural Analysis engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacturing engineering aspects of end-to-end composite processes across the supply chain to ensure a high cosmetic standard.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Static and dynamic stress analysis of composite structures using Finite Element packages
2. Modelling static abuse loads on Composites structures
3. Simulation of dynamic impact analysis on composites structures
4. Structural optimisation leading to weight savings
5. Development of data analysis policies and methods including statistical derivation of material design values
6. Leadership of concurrent engineering activities from an operational manufacturing perspective to achieve design for assembly and to facilitate the procurement of such materials.
7. Liaising with our global customer base across the globe to ensure their needs are met.
8. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to bring about cost reductions and improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
9. Proving support to other multi-disciplinary teams including NPI and manufacturing engineering activities across the facility.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* A 3rd level qualification in materials, mechanical or aeronautical engineering or related discipline
* 1 Year's experience in FEM (Finite Element Modelling)
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience in project management, optimising a product design to exploit benefits of composite resource
* 3 year's experience in the practical application of FEM
* 2 year's experience of composite materials, manufacturing techniques, testing standards and data analysis
* Experience of certification in an aerospace environment.
* Experience in Math CAD software
