Supply Chain Specialist 4

Position will work in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment and will be responsible for leading and executing the logistics operations for several program initiatives, to include tanker operations, both international and domestic, Statement Of Work (SOW) development, proposal development, management of Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations, flight crew support, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) interface in support of the Italian Commercial Training Asset (767-200) aircraft and the KC-767 Italian Tanker aircraft. Primary Responsibilities: Integrate, manage and perform Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and logistics engineering to ensure effective sustainment of military aircraft weapon system; Will author reports, statements of work (SOW) and logistics plans to document support concept, vendor relationships and impact the design interface, planning, program documentation and preparation of Economic trade studies; Develop Management presentations highlighting aircraft availability and costs of sustainment; Management of aircraft software systems and Navigation Data Bases. Develop Supplier Statements of Work as necessary to meet customer requirements; Respond to complex customer inquires and interface extensively with other functional organizations. Work with Logistics support team to resolve any technical issues that may surface; Interface with Boeing Commercial Aircraft (BCA) to provide monthly updates to Maintenance Publications, Flight Crew Operating Instructions and Navigational aids. Experience in military operations is a plus; Part research using engineering drawings. Maintenance manuals, SLIC and REDARS (Reference Engineering Data Automated Retrieval System); Heavy maintenance Liaison support, provide out plant Supplier support to include Management of work load / task progression, itemize tasks awaiting material, consolidate material estimated Ship dates and assess aircraft re-delivery schedule impact; Training facilitator to support delivery of on-the job-training (OJT) to the Italian Maintenance work force. Knowledge of Italian KC-767 maintenance courseware and Training Management System (TMS) are a plus; Directs activities and acts as logistics support expert for proposal activities; leads fact-finding and contract negotiations.

Maintenance and Retrofit
Extensive knowledge of repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices (e.g., unplanned event system, technical orders, kitting, overhaul and depot support).

Extensive and specialized knowledge of aerospace product configuration, assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, testing, manufacturing capabilities, planning, systems, support equipment, and tooling to support unique, emergent, and routine requirements. Extensive ability to apply advanced manufacturing knowledge across organizations in support of supply chain management.

Product Support Supply Chain
Extensive knowledge of the unique aspects of inventory planning and control processes (e.g., Lot sizes, Work in Process [WIP], Inventory Burndown, modifications, out of production, Kanban, Just In Time [JIT], Kitting, Point of Use [POU], inventory turn rate) utilizing inventory systems, and data flows to support planned and unplanned requirement decisions.

Statistical Concepts
Extensive and specialized knowledge of statistical analysis concepts.

Typical Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree and related work experience, a Master's degree and related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Job related information

Ability to Obtain Interim and/or Final Clearances (Post Start) - Candidate must be eligible to live and work in the U.S. Maintenance experience and Operational experience a Plus. Previous tanker instructor pilot with receiver operations experience a plus. Complete understanding of aircraft flight and maintenance manuals. Experience in MRO facility operations. Experience with Proposal (RFP, RFI) and SOW development. IBAP process training. Understanding of supply chain management. Experience with ITAR / Export related issues. Working knowledge of REDARS, ACT, MBF a plus.
