Supply Chain Specialist 5

Logistics Support subject matter expert who leads product support asset management/ property team in the oversight, property management and control of government assets in the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) supply chain. Researches and implements innovative processes to support provisioning and program product deliverables. Provides technical direction on logistics and government property/inventory control programs and processes. Coordinates property management and control activities to ensure continual accountability of government, associate contractor property in accordance with Secure Border Initiative Network (SBInet) ILS Statement of Work, Task Order/contracts. Initiates and maintains property accountability records, determines condition and arranges disposal of surplus obsolete material or equipment. Contacts potential users and negotiates Custodial program property procedures. Administers the SBInet Property Management Plan. Conducts property audits. Develops, recommends and implements property administration policy and processes. Interfaces with required levels of management and appropriate customer representatives to ensure that an approved property control system is in place and maintained.

 Product Support Supply Chain
Advanced/expert knowledge of the unique aspects of inventory planning and control processes (e.g., Lot sizes, Work in Process [WIP], Inventory Burndown, modifications, out of production, Kanban, Just In Time [JIT], Kitting, Point of Use [POU], inventory turn rate) utilizing inventory systems, and data flows to support planned and unplanned requirement decisions.

 Specific Supportability
Expert, advanced knowledge of customer, regulatory agency, industry, and company policies, practices, and procedures as they apply to customer maintenance concepts and processes (e.g. supply, procurement), as well as, technical documentation, support equipment and systems, part interchangeability, data reliability analysis, data extraction, and service related problem resolution.

Typical Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree and typically 15 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 13 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM) Certification preferred. Travel requirements may be extensive at times. This position can reside at any of the locations listed on the requisition. Candidate must currently possess a secret security clearance and must also be able to pass a background investigation by the Security Directorate of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and be issued Final Suitability Status.
