System & Software Test Analyst 4

Specific Position Requirements: Software Integration Tester / Java Developer needed to perform integration testing to ensure developed software meets expectations prior to deployment. Candidate will be integrated into the development team which will allow candidate to understand what features are being developed and how it should be tested. Candidate will develop software (test tools) if needed to perform tests of APIs and other non-user interface components. Leads and performs the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of complex computing applications and software or computing architecture and computing application system designs. Leads analysis of end user processes to define application requirements. Writes and compiles complex code based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applications. Modifies or upgrades complex applications to maintain functionality and performance. Identifies and recommends improvements. Identifies and resolves complex programming or application architecture problems. Shall be proficient in the development and implementation of test strategies, plans, traceability matrices, procedures, and reports. Must have extensive experience in the testing of systems at the component, integration, system, and end-to-end levels. Must be familiar with test tools.


Must be able to develop tools OR modify existing test tools to test the OIM software. These tools might be used later by a system-level testing organization
Should be knowledgeable of Java-related technologies in order to develop a good testing strategy. Technologies include J2EE, web services, EJBs, JBoss, XML, subversion, eclipse, Linux, and to a lesser extent Oracle.
Must be able to deal with a changing environment
Must be able to work closely with the development team to understand what they're developing in order to develop a testing strategy.
Must be able to deal with "little documentation" (i.e.. read the wiki), but then produce documentation that is useful for the system test organization. Documentation would describe various configurations (where the code is....how to install, problems, start / stop procedures, constraints.....)

Extensive, specialized knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies. Ability to synthesize software architectures and designs that meet requirements, characteristics and constraints.

Software Dev Life Cycle
Extensive knowledge of the concepts, processes, and philosophies involved with managing a software system throughout the entire life cycle. Ability to participate in all stages of the software development life cycle.

Software Domain Knowledge
Extensive, specialized knowledge of domains, characteristics, constraints and products that require software and influence architecture, requirements, interfaces, designs, and integration/test approaches. Domain examples include data processing, ground support, tools and analysis models. Examples of characteristics and constraints that impact software include operating systems, fidelity and information processing capacity. Examples of products include aircraft, missiles, airborne/shipboard/space systems/ground-based support systems.

System/Data Architecture
Extensive ability to model and analyze data from a computing technical and specific business process viewpoint; integrates the data into a computing system and application architecture. Extensive ability to interrelate, from system architecture, design, build, test, and deploy the fundamental aspects needed to produce effective computing solutions.

Typical Education/Experience



Technical bachelor's degree and related work experience or a Master's degree with experience or a PhD degree with related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
