Typical Education/Experience

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Proven Systems Engineering Architecture and Design experience with related experience in Software Engineering and Analysis, subcontracts management and leadership of a software and systems engineering team required. Experience supporting the design and development of satellite system ground segments required. System Architect experience required, ability to create architecture and engineering inch-stones for inclusion into program integrated master schedule. Manage the execution of those tasks including earned value management. Perform trade studies and analysis in support of hardware design and software integration on hardware platforms. Track hardware failure metrics and work closely with government and vendor representatives to ensure timely elevation and resolution of issues. Experience in mapping CONOPS in support of PSPO engineering for detection, identification, and reporting of signals of interest a plus. Experience in installation, integration and configuration of mass storage systems at worldwide remote client facilities, including: automated backup and restore functions; Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM); data archive and retrieve a plus. Experience with Performed VERITAS NetBackup/Storage Migrator, LEGATO NetWorker, data storage software applications on UNIX, Open Virtual Machine Server (VMS), and Windows NT operating systems a plus. Previous Military experience a plus. Previous intelligence analysis experience is a plus. Master Degree in networking or Computer Information Systems is preferred. Ability to travel will be required.
