Perform Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) and Technical Publications development for an Information Technology (IT) based Network System of the U.S. Navy. Predominance of assigned duties will be to prepare and provide a partial system level Operation and Maintenance (O&M) and Software Users IETM that addresses Operations, Functional Descriptions, Troubleshooting, and Recovery and Replacement Procedures. Other System Administrative documentation will also be required. Hyperlinking individual Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) manuals and the identification of specific procedures, analysis, and development while using S1000D Standards and software applications will be common taskings. Selected candidate will support the management and distribution of S1000D documents and the development and delivery of the Technical Manual Organizational Plan (TMOP), including data entry and hosting via enterprise IETM tools.
Candidate must be familiar with S1000D, XML/XTML/HTML 2.0. Must have a working knowledge of U.S. Navy ATIS (Advanced Technical Information System), as well as advanced level IETM development experience. A background in Customer Training development and support of Network infrastructures is desirable. This position is contingent on the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) contract award, a competitive contract expected between November 2009 and January 2010. The prime work location will be at Boeing offices in San Diego, CA with periodic travel to the Boeing offices in Huntington Beach, CA.

Typical Education/Experience
