Integration, Test and Evaluation (IT&E) Engineer with an emphasis in military and network communications is required to support the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES), IT&E Team. Candidates with wireless network communication experience, military communication background, and other related communication experience are preferred. Successful candidate will have integration and test background with strong computer skills. Responsible for generating Common Commuting Systems (CCS) portion of the Contractor System Integration Test (CSIT). Develops test plans and procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk. Experience with software test, design and integration is desired. Responsibilities include leading teammate execution of CCS portion of CSIT test procedures. Reviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer. Prepares and publishes CCS portion of CSIT test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements. Candidate must have working knowledge of Boeing Test and Acceptance Procedures and Practices and have experience with test procedures and test processes. Have strong oral and written communication skills and ability to resolve technical issues. The candidate will work with cross-functional teams consisting of system integration, systems engineering, software engineering and systems software engineering.

Test Configuration Control
General knowledge of test article/vehicle configuration control procedure required to prepare for a given test. This requires the use of configuration control management process to track and maintain article/vehicle configuration. General ability to configure the test article using test requirements gathered from test plans, government regulations, and safety rules.
Typical Education/Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Job related information
This position is contingent on the award of a competitive contract expected between November 2009 and January 2010. The prime work location will be at the Boeing Offices in San Diego, CA with periodic travel to the Boeing offices in Huntington Beach, CA.
