Mission Systems Integration and Test Engineer on the AEW&C program. Responsible for system level hardware and software integration, ground and flight testing in the System Integration Lab (SIL) and on the 737 AEW&C aircraft. Requires interfacing with systems and software engineers in an IPT environment for the development of test procedures, conduct of system level requirements testing, and test reporting. Tasks include preparation of detailed test procedures for Development Test and Evaluation, and Qualification Tests, test execution, submittal of test reports to the customer. Candidate will participate in finding and documenting problems, working with the IPTs to resolve problems, and conducting retest to verify the problems have been resolved.

Develops solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, associated with electronic, electrical or software testing, requiring ingenuity and innovation. Works according to established guidelines. Knowledge of mission system/payload, and avionic integration testing principles and techniques, both in the laboratory and ""on aircraft"". Comprehensive knowledge of test software processes such as requirement analysis, code development, verification and validation, and configuration management. Knowledge of electronic, avionic, and embedded software integration laboratory (SIL) setup, and associated hardware and software test processes. Typical Education/Experience
Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 4 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's, Master's or PhD with proven experience. Alternatively, a BA or BS degree of a technical nature, from a university, whose curriculum meets the educational requirements of the open position, as determined by the IDS 6L9B AAP 903 Skill Team Leader, will be accepted with evidence that candidate has applied skills/experience to perform engineering level assignments. Ideal candidate should have a background in test and operations in airborne command, control and surveillance platforms; Previous experience with weapons control or battle management operations and requirements verification highly desired.
