Level 4/5 -
Reporting to the Chief Test Pilot, Boeing Test and Evaluation, and working in support of the Boeing Business Jet organization, the BBJ Chief Pilot serves as the Boeing Company expert on all aspects of Flight Operations of Boeing products in VIP service. Plans, coordinates and conducts delivery, ferry, support and functional check flights on multiple models of Boeing production and post-production modified aircraft destined for VIP service. Works with the Flight Technical and Flight Operations Engineering organizations to assist customers with flight crew related technical inquiries regarding operating Boeing aircraft in VIP service. Serves as the company flight crew spokesperson at Business Aircraft conferences and conventions. Job requires FAA ATP certificate with the appropriate endorsements (B737 minimum). Job requires qualification as a Boeing Production Captain on multiple models - will consider training applicants to obtain this qualification.

Knowledge of operational flight safety, including industry-wide current safety topics (e.g., approach and landing, upset, Controlled Flight into Terrain [CFIT]).

Typical Education/Experience



Level 4 - Technical bachelor's degree and proven related work experience or a Master's degree with experience or a PhD degree with typically related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study. Level 5 - Technical bachelor's degree and related work experience or a Master's degree with experience or a PhD degree with related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applies advanced knowledge to coordinate post aircraft modification Functional Check Flights at domestic and international locations for US and foreign registered aircraft. Applies advanced knowledge of and experience with International operation of corporate Boeing VIP products to serve as company spokesperson at business aircraft industry events. Presents to large audiences of customers and media regarding capabilities and performance of Boeing VIP product offerings. Work experience must include significant Pilot in Command experience in the operation of Boeing aircraft. Highly desirable to have significant experience in VIP/Executive flight operations, International flight operations and production or acceptance flight testing.
