The purpose of this position is to provide an Aircraft Mechanic for C-17 aircraft. This position will require relocation to Papa, Hungary, first or second shift work may be required, and periods of on-call support. Will be cross utilized to perform servicing and team member activities. Travel will be required to support remote maintenance activities and to recover inoperative forward deployed aircraft. Successful completion of C-17 maintenance training is a job requirement. Applicant must have or be able to obtain a secret security clearance. Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Supports the configuration of aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment as required. Ability to operate shop equipment to disassemble, troubleshoot, inspect and repair aircraft components and assemblies. Ability to work with structural and composite components a plus. Troubleshoots pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
