The position is for an Engineering Graduate who wishes to extend his or her knowledge into the world Satellite Ground Control.
The role will be challenging and involve working within a team designing and building IP based communications networks supporting Satellite technologies for both Military and Commercial infrastructures. Customer facing skills are essential.
The ideal candidate will be pro-active in their approach and show willingness to learn and apply new technologies. 
A baseline requirement for this position is an interest in real time &amp; critical control systems and prime focus on multi operating system environments.
Tasks include:
Design, write and validate ground operations procedures
Support Integration &amp; Test Team.
Assist in writing System Requirements, System Design Documents, Internal &amp; External Interface Control Documents.
Assist Integration of delivery Spacecraft Control Centre. 
Help define operational strategies and write operations manuals.
Provide Technical support to Customers and Suppliers.
Assist in Customer Training
Knowledge of Satellite communications equipments and protocols is advantageous but not essential.
The ideal candidate will also be expected to travel.
Key skills/competencies:
General understanding of engineering principles
Willingness and desire to learn new software and processes.
Good communications skills
Desired skills but not essential:
I4S or other control centre software
Oracle experience.
Linux or Solaris basic experience
Windows Server and Workstation operating systems experience

Essential
UK Bachelors Degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
Design management experience in major space communications infrastructure systems programmes.
Detailed knowledge of space and other radio frequency bearer communications systems.
Proven track record in similar role, managing teams and working to tight timescales
Good standard of written and spoken English
Desirable
Experience in delivery of communications services

Role Purpose: 
To develop, deliver, maintain and support Industrial Policy and Supplier Market Intelligence required for defining and driving Industrial Make or Buy Policy, reducing risks associated to selection of new entrants, contributing to company overall strategy and reducing company cost base 
1. Provide a complete strategic analysis on the world wide supplier market:
" Agree requirements and planning with different stakeholders: Strategy, Programmes and Procurement, Technical, CRP Multi functional teams, Operations.
" Develop and manage an implementation plan
" Manage a process for acquiring and delivering the corresponding data collection
2. Drive collection and analysis of strategic data ensuring its reliability and validation
" Implement &amp; exploit internal and external network(s)
