Reports to the Corrosion Control Shop Chief as a Corrosion Control Technician. Identifies, removes and/or treats corrosion that can be removed through chemical and mechanical means. Removes protective aircraft coating to inspect for corrosion as required. Washes aircraft and components. Prepares surfaces for painting. Applies primers, paints and lacquers, as applicable. Applies decals in accordance with standard instructions. Prepares stencils and applies to aircraft/equipment as required. Maintains standard equipment associated with painting operations. Responsible for conducting Customer training, to include OJT, and maintenance of training records for the Corrosion Control Shop. Performs other related duties as directed.
Competencies:
Be able to speak, read, comprehend and write English clearly and distinctly. Be familiar with aircraft strippers, degreasers, primers, polyurethane paints and lacquers used on metal, fiberglass and other aircraft surfaces, to include application procedures. Be qualified and capable of providing necessary job training to the Customer. Completion of high school or equivalent Courses in paint mixing and application preferred. Have working knowledge of aircraft maintenance forms, records and reports to meet the job standards prescribed by the RSAF. Knowledge of corrosion removal using chemical and mechanical methods. 
Typical Education / Experience:
Minimum of six (6) years recent large aircraft corrosion control experience. Three (3) years experience on the C-130 aircraft is highly desirable.

Candidate shall also have experience in managing an ILS development program with associated management experience in risk management, Earned Value Management, schedule management, and other related program management techniques. It is desired that the candidate possess a Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics and 14 or more years experience in Logistics and/or Engineering. This position is contingent on the award of a competitive contract expected between November 2009 and January 2010.
