Some knowledge of piping, fluid flow and thermodynamics as it applies to industrial systems. Some knowledge of regulations &amp; codes. Some knowledge of mechanical building systems such as air conditioning, steam, and water piping systems etc. Some knowledge of Auto CAD. Some knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and construction practices. Candidate is pursuing an accredited bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (ABET).

The intern needs to be a self starter, good team player, strong communicator, good writing skills &amp; good computer &amp; Auto CAD skills. Candidates should possess demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication and analytical skills, and proven teaming abilities. Candidates should also understand the application of process standards, guidelines, methods and tools. Fast paced work environment that requires self discipline, organization, creativity and positive attitude to execute project commitments. DEPENDABILITY: Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure they are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner. This also includes being reliable, trusted, and accountable for completing work activities. GENERAL BUSINESS SKILLS: Ability to apply business principles, methods, and processes to solve problems. Proficiency with Microsoft office applications. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION: Builds long-term relationships with internal Business Partners by understanding their current and future needs. Meets commitments to customers on time and keeps them informed. Seeks and uses customer feedback. INTEGRITY: Fair, honest and straightforward in dealing with others. Honors commitments, trustworthy and takes responsibility for failures and shares credit for successes. Uses appropriate discretion and is sensitive to confidentiality. Demonstrates high ethical standards. 
Typical Education/Experience 
  
High school diploma or GED. 
Other Job related information 
  
Prefer a student with 3+ years of college pursing a mechanical engineering degree associated with an ABET accredited program. Candidates should be college students with junior status. Candidates must demonstrate overall GPA of 3.3 - 4.0. Clearly state cum. GPA and grad. month/year in resume. If selected for interview, candidates notified via email by Dec/Jan. Assignments begin when your school recesses for Summer 2009 and generally last 3 months.
