Background
The ITER project aims to build a fusion device aiming to demonstrate the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion power. ITER will be constructed in Europe, at Cadarache in the south of France. The fusion reactor is expected to start operating in 2018.
The scope of the task is the planning, preparation, execution, evaluation, reporting and checking of analysis and calculations involving fluids (liquids and gases) in several ITER SSC under compressible and incompressible regimes.
Tasks
Perform analysis mainly (but not only) related with: fire, smoke and gas propagation; combustion and explosion; reacting flows and radiation; fluid-structure and fluid-radiation coupling; biphasic scenarios, mixtures of gases, leaks and other phenomena of complex simulation.
Based in Hamburg, Germany for 2 years, with prolongation option of other 2 years.
Requirements
In addition to qualities required to perform the task, hold capabilities and knowledge in parallelization and other massive computational techniques (e.g. ANSYS, FLUENT).
If interested, send full CV and details of earliest start date and current salary.
