Role
" To facilitate the identification and implementation of company and customer quality requirements. Primary focus is within Systems Engineering, Software Engineering and Systems integration in readiness for production, including direct interface throughout the supply chain.
" To provide assurance that the defined quality and regulatory requirements are fulfilled, dealing directly with customer and Engineering subcontractor quality representatives.
Nature and Scope
" Auditing of quality systems including analysis of findings, advice on deficiency closure &amp; improvement suggestions
" Evaluation of product development lifecycles and processes (Systems, Software and Hardware Engineering)
" Generation and implementation of robust QA work products and processes audits to aid the prediction and prevention of quality defects
" Ensuring the integrity of products and processes to satisfy business, customer and regulatory requirement
" Primary authority on all quality related matters on assigned programme/s
" Customer interface on all quality related matters including verification of customer satisfaction
" Ensuring that customer quality requirements are fully understood and are met
" Generation and maintenance of Quality Plans
" Manage non-conformances, corrective and preventative actions to closure.
" Defect investigation including facilitation of root cause analysis within an Engineering environment
" Application of 'quality tools and techniques' to facility the resolution of quality issues
" Hosting customer audits
" Evaluation of Engineering test strategy, coverage and integrity fulfillment
" Application of configuration management techniques
" Supplier, subcontract quality management including evaluation, approval, monitoring, audit and corrective action management
" Performing first article inspections 
" Performing supplier acceptances of complex development items 
" Participation at design reviews and lifecycle Gate Reviews
" Product release audit
" Performing peer reviews of work products to support implementation of programmes
" Quality Planning of activities, monitoring and status reporting

Education and Experience
" Be able to demonstrate quality engineering experience within an engineering organization, ideally within a Systems and Software development and integration environment 
" Fully conversant with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 or equivalent.
" Attainment of an engineering related HNC.

They are now seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to work in their High Wycombe location. The successful candidate will be a Quality Engineer with electronics experience, gained in the nuclear, defence or automotive sectors.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this is a varied role that will include responsibilities in the following areas;
Systems Assurance
Customer Assurance
Product/Project Assurance
Supplier Assurance
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be required to promote value added quality principles and facilitate improvement throughout the business process, communicating with internal / external customer requirements, ensure compliance at all times. The role will also involve analysing and reporting on Failure Data and assessing the latest Quality Standards, advising management of the best methods of implementation within the company.
The successful candidate will have a familiarity with ISO and Quality Management Standards, have knowledge of QA Principles and Techniques and be a Qualified auditor able to carry out Supplier, Internal and External Quality Audits.
The successful candidate will have a HND or equivalent in Electronics, Mechnical Engineering or Software.
Essential skills and abilities include;
The ability to work under your own initiative and communicate at all levels
The ability to review, understand and comment upon Design Specifications and Acceptance Documentation 
A working knowledge of problem solving techniques, to enable and manage efficient root causal investigation
The ability to write Quality plans, Process models/ workflows instructions and procedures.
The successful candidate will also be a team player, willing to travel in the UK and abroad.

The Position
The Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) is responsible to the Managing Director for providing overall assurance that the Company policy is being implemented with regard to work carried out in-house and work that is sub-contracted. 
The QAM has the authority for establishing and documenting the Quality Management System (QMS) in conjunction with Senior Management and for monitoring its efficiency in accordance with 
BS EN ISO 9001:2008 and TickIT.
Key Responsibilities
- To maintain and update the Company Quality Manual
- To audit and review the Company's operations to ensure compliance to the Quality Procedures and provide evidence of the systems effectiveness
- To ensure prompt solution of quality problems, monitoring timely completion of corrective actions, quality planning, and maintaining and filing quality records. 
- To attend project product and lifecycle reviews
- To work closely with Design, Engineering and Production to ensure all required quality standards are met for both hardware and software
- To monitor sub-contractors as required to maintain Quality Integrity
- To be the authority for control and issue of Concessions, Production Permits, Certificates of Conformance and Certificates of Design
Qualifications and Experience 
- Experience of working on Ministry of Defence programmes with sound knowledge of defence Quality Standards
- Working knowledge of ISO9001:2008 Quality Standard and TickIT. 
- Qualified IQA Lead Auditor preferred, otherwise relevant experience of internal auditing and supplier assessment. 
- Customer facing experience
- SC Cleared
