RESPONSIBLE TO ACC Watch Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS - Essential Must hold valid Area and Area Radar Control licence issued by an ICAO State or recognised organisation and accepted by the General Civil Aviation Authority in accordance with the Civil Aviation Regulations.
Valid medical certificate for ATC.
QUALIFICATIONS - Desirable Formal On-the-Job Training (OJT) instructor’s course.
EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years continuous operational duties as a certified controller in a multi-sector ACC equipped with secondary surveillance radar and automated flight data processing.
Minimum 2 years as OJT instructor.
DUTIES 1) Provision of Area Radar Control Service, Flight Information Service and Alerting Service to aircraft operating in appropriately classified airspace within the Emirates FIR. These duties will be performed on a shift basis and in accordance with UAE legislation and civil aviation regulations.
2) Perform flow control as required to avoid congestion in or beyond the Emirates FIR.
3) Perform OJT of ATCOs and ATC cadets.
4) Complete progress reports on trainee controllers and discuss the contents with the trainees.
5) Supervise assistant staff in the discharge of their operational duties.
6) Report incidents and abnormal occurrences to the ATC watch supervisor.
7) Report failures, conditions and procedures likely to constitute a risk to safety and/or regularity.
8) Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all relevant ICAO documents - in particular Annex 2, Annex 11, Doc 4444, Doc 7030 - the Emirates AIP and the Local ATS Instructions (LATSI) for the Emirates ACC.
9) Maintain a thorough operational knowledge and understanding of the equipment and systems used for the provision of air traffic services in the Emirates FIR.
10) Obtain, through pre-watch briefing, relevant information concerning internal and external conditions affecting traffic under your jurisdiction.
11) Undergo Periodic Proficiency Checking (PPC) in both theoretical knowledge and practical performance at regular intervals as determined by the GCAA.
12) Participate on an ad hoc basis in simulation exercises and development of procedures and airspace structuring.
13) Participate on an ad hoc basis in configuration, testing and commissioning of new or upgraded ATC systems.
14) Perform other duties related to ANS.
15) Observe staff instructions and administrative rules pertaining to conduct in the operational area of the ACC building.
16) Practice professionalism and politeness to all users of services provided by the Emirates ACC and to other staff within the unit.
17) Exercise discretion in the discharge of your duties, hereunder handling of information. 
18) Report for duty rested and in a presentable manner commensurate with your position.
SUPERVISE Air traffic control assistants and clerical ACC staff.
Salary: AED 54,000 - 57,000 + Medical + Bonus

DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH is responsible for air traffic control in Germany. As a company organised under private law, DFS is 100% owned by the Federal Republic of Germany. Our air traffic controllers handle three million aircraft movements every year. DFS also has staff working in the EUROCONTROL Centre in Maastricht.
We are looking to recruit experienced air traffic controllers (m/f) to work in our control centres in Bremen, Langen, Munich or Karlsruhe.
Air Traffic Controller (m/f) in Germany
APP/ACC/UAC Candidates should preferably not be older than 40. Candidates must hold a valid air traffic controller licence with an approach radar and/or area radar control rating. Candidates must have a good level of spoken and written English (at least ICAO level 4). For lower airspace: Candidates must have a good level of spoken and written German (at least ICAO level 4). Candidates must meet the German medical fitness requirements. Experience in the use of advanced ATC systems is an advantage.
