    <P>Australian regional airline group Regional Express has launched a charter broker subsidiary, <A href="http://www.rexjet.com/">RexJet Executive Charter</A>, with partners in Dubai, the UK and the USA.</P> <P>Sydney-based RexJet has 1,500 aircraft on its books through five "strategic affiliates" in the USA - in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Miami and Houston - as well as a UK partner that covers Europe and another affiliate in Dubai, according to RexJet managing director Mark Diaz. He declines to name the partners, saying they will be announced within six months. </P> <P>The aircraft available comprise 85 different types, ranging from five-seat pistons through to airliners, says Diaz. The fleet includes Skytraders' corporate <A href="http://www.flightglobal.com/landingpage/airbus%20a320.html">Airbus&nbsp;A319LR</A> which operates Australian Antarctic Division flights between Australia and Antarctica during the southern hemisphere summer.     <P><A href="http://ec.europa.eu/commission_barroso/dimas/index_en.htm" target=_blank>European&nbsp;environment commissioner Stavros Dimas</A> has welcomed the political agreement struck by EU ministers on aviation’s future inclusion in the emissions trading scheme.</P> <P>EU ministers yesterday reached a political agreement on including aviation in the EU emissions trading scheme. Dimas says ministers’ position, based on a new text put forward by the Portuguese EU presidency, remains close to that of the EC proposals.</P> <P>&nbsp;“Today's political agreement on including aircraft in the emissions trading scheme sends an important signal about the EU's determination to put in place concrete measures to combat climate change,” he says.</P> <P>The ministers’ position calls for a single start to airlines incorporation into the system from 2012.
