  • SINGAPORE: Sukhoi seeks to exploit Asian market for Superjet

    News | 03 Feb 2014 14:19 | Vladimir Karnozov

The Sukhoi Superjet 100 project remains central in the Kremlin’s policy of restoring the presence of Russian passenger jets in the global market. Heavy political support and financial aid enabled Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) to achieve twofold increase in production, by making 24 aircraft in 2013 compared to twelve a year before. This enabled SCAC president Andrei Kalinovsky to describe the 2013 results as “rather successful in general”. He said the company’s revenues “almost doubled” in 2013. “There is some lagging behind the business plan, but rather small one”, he insisted. SCAC plans to assemble 40 aircraft in 2014. Kalinovsky claimed that all aircraft due for completion in 2014 “have customers” and half of those to be assembled in 2015 also have ones.http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/SINGAPORE-Sukhoi-seeks-to-exploit-Asian-market-for-Superjet-395269/
