    Not only has Mexican carrier Aeromar survived the recession, but it has done so by expanding. <p>Gilbert Sedbon/MEXICO CITY </p> <p>AFTER SURVIVING the Mexican economic crash of 1995, Transportes Aeromar, the country's newest domestic carrier, is back in a growth pattern aimed at breaking through the 1 million passenger mark, possibly within, the next three years. </p> <p>At one point during the first half of 1995, the airline contemplated firing almost 50% of its 300-strong workforce. Even those pilots working six frequencies a day agreed to a voluntary two-month 20% salary cut, helping to double overall company productivity. </p> <p>Traffic and prospects picked up in the second half of the year, with passenger numbers for November exceeding the average 1,000 a day target to total 31,141 for the month. Staff, were returned to full salary and achieved a 10% bonus payment at the close of the year. </p> <p>"We ended the year with nearly 300,000 passengers and made small profits,"
