    <body lang=EN-GB style='tab-interval:36.0pt'> <div class=Section1> <p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'>Russian carrier Vladivostok Avia has chosen the long-range Tupolev Tu-234 as the model best suiting its development plans, after the carrier turned in a strong performance for the year.</p> <p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'>Last week the airline signed a $70 million contract with leasing company Ilyushin Finance for two of the type, a shorter 160-seat version of the baseline Tu-204.</p> <p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'>Both aircraft will be taken on ten-year finance leases.
