Adria Airways
The national airline of Slovenia, Adria Airways operates international scheduled services throughout Europe and charter services to European and Middle
Eastern destinations from Ljubljana.
Established as a charter company under the name of Adria Aviopromet (Adria Airways). The Inex-Adria Airways brand was adopted in 1968 after aligning with
Belgrade-based trading group Interexport, but dropped in favovour of the original title in May 1986. International scheduled services were added in November
1983. In March 1996 Adria Airways completed its part-privatisation process. In December 2004 the airline became a regional member of the Star Alliance. On 1
January 2010 Adria Airways became a full menber of the Star Alliance, with the abolition of the regional member classification.
