    <P>Airbus appointed Didier Evrard as head of the A350 programme last month. Evrard started his career in 1977 as a test engineer with Matra. Through 1997 he held various project management positions for programmes with Italian, German, British and/or French partners. Evrard was previously with missile manufacturer MBDA, where he led the Matra BAe Dynamics (MBD) Product Lines Directorate since 2002.</P> <P>Aircastle appointed Michael Platt as its chief investment officer, responsible for the company’s investment activities. For the last 15 years Platt has been with ILFC, where he managed key airline relationships across the world and led market development efforts in important growth areas such as India and Japan. <BR>Aircastle also appointed Peter Chang as executive vice president marketing. Chang will be responsible for covering the markets of “greater China” and north Asia.     <P>Airbus has named Didier Evrard - previously in charge of product lines at missile manufacturer MBDA - as A350 XWB programme head.</P> <P>Evrard has led the MBDA product lines directorate and MBDA France since 2002. Born in 1953, Evrard joined Matra in 1977 as a test engineer. Over the next 20 years he held various multinational project management positions.
