The 2011 Dubai Air show, now it its 22nd year, is a key event on the international air show calendar and will showcase more than 100 aircraft at the static display at the Airport Expo, including the Boeing 787, one of which recently performed its first commercial flight with launch customer ANA.
The UAE's own aerobatics team Al Fursan (The Knights) will debut at the show with a patriotic display using Alenia Aermacchi aircraft in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the formation of the United Arab Emirates.
Fairs & Exhibitions Aerospace, co-organizers along with the Government of Dubai, are confident the show will be bigger than previously with 1000 exhibitors from 50 countries confirmed and 55,000 trade visitors which account for a 4% rise on visitor numbers since 2009.
