  • ANALYSIS: Ilyushin Finance working hard to place orders

    News | 08 Aug 2014 14:48 | Dominic Perry

Busy times surely lie ahead for Ilyushin Finance. Not only does the Russian lessor have around 100 aircraft to place over the coming years – with a further 50 in the pipeline – but it is also dealing with a major ownership change and potential rebranding as it looks to disentangle itself from its largely domestic origins and grow into a more globalised business.http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/ANALYSIS-Ilyushin-Finance-working-hard-to-place-orders-402524/

  • SINGAPORE: IFC-supplied Tu-204Cs launch Transaero cargo business

    News | 03 Feb 2014 17:08 | Vladimir Karnozov

The only new Russian-built narrowbody jets to go to a commercial airline during 2013 were the Tupolev Tu-204-100C freighters supplied by Ilyushin Finance (IFC) to Russia’s second largest airline Transaero. The nation’s largest aircraft lessor, which has placed more than 50 commercial jets with airline customers, purchased two of the aircraft from UAC’s Aviastar-SP plant in Ulianovsk and subsequently provided them on financial lease terms to the airline. This enabled Transaero, which had previously operated only passenger jets – including three Tu-214s on financial lease from IFC – to expand its market presence into the cargo sector.http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/SINGAPORE-IFC-supplied-Tu-204Cs-launch-Transaero-cargo-business-395268/
